Situations

Police came to the exchange. Write the facts down.

When police show up at a handover, memory turns into argument within a week. What holds up is a short, dated account written the same day.

Stick to what happened and what was said. No motives, no labels, no guesses about why anyone acted the way they did.

What to log, the same day

Date and time
When you arrived, when police arrived, when you left.
Place
The exchange location named in your order, or where it actually happened.
Who called
You, the other parent, a bystander, or you do not know.
What was said
Quote only what you are sure of. Otherwise summarise plainly.
Report number
If an officer gave you one. Leave it blank rather than guess.
Who else was there
Names of any adult witnesses. Nothing about the children’s behaviour beyond what you saw.
Outcome
Did the exchange happen, partly happen, or not happen at all.

In the appWrite it down → add the exchange, then attach any photo, recording or report you have as an exhibit.

Scout is free. The other parent never gets a login.

Questions parents ask

Should I log it even if nobody was arrested?

Yes. Most of these days end with no action at all. The record is about what happened and how often, not about an outcome.

Does the other parent see this entry?

No. There is no co-parent account. They never get a login and cannot see or change anything you save.

Can I request the police report through the app?

No. Reports come from the agency that took the call. If you obtain one, you can save a copy in your records as an exhibit.
