Situations
They used a sitter on their day.
If your order requires they offer you the time first, log the date, the hours, whether they offered, and who watched the child.
Keep it factual: the hours they were away, whether the offer came to you, and what you answered. Do not guess who watched the children if you do not know. Logged the same night, these entries build a dated record in a vault they never get a login to.
What to log
- Date
- The day it happened.
- Hours unavailable
- How long the other parent was away.
- Were you offered the time
- Yes, no, or offered late.
- Did you accept
- And what happened if you did.
- Who watched the children
- Only if you actually know. Leave it blank otherwise.
In the appSitter time → Log a day.
Scout is free. The other parent never gets a login.
Questions parents ask
What is right of first refusal?
A clause in some orders giving the other parent the first offer of parenting time when the scheduled parent will be away for a stated number of hours. Your order controls whether it applies.
What if I do not know who was watching them?
Leave it blank. Never guess. A record with gaps is stronger than a record with assumptions in it.
